I built and developed multidisciplinary design teams as a player-coach design leader, while driving UX strategy and execution across three chapters in Microsoft’s Experiences & Devices division. Led design from proof-of-concept through public release for enterprise-scale products serving frontline workforces, knowledge workers, and global organizations managing large content repositories, consistently aligning cross-functional partners and executive stakeholders around user needs, long-term design direction, and measurable product outcomes.
- Led eSignature feature design team from concept through public release in Microsoft Word, establishing a native Microsoft 365 solution within the SharePoint Premium product suite.
- Led design for a SharePoint Knowledge Source POC leveraging Microsoft Copilot to position SharePoint as an AI-ready organizational content repository. User-validated and presented to area leadership to secure roadmap investment.
- Aligned SharePoint, Viva, M365, and engineering teams around unified UX standards for content intelligence, document automation, and compliance, adopted across global enterprise deployments.
- Led UX for Teams’ frontline product portfolio (Shifts, Walkie Talkie, and IT admin experiences) delivering mobile-first solutions scaled across enterprise customers across industries, contributing to over 2.3MM engaged MAU.
- Built a research-backed framework formally differentiating frontline from information worker use cases, realigning product and engineering investment toward FLW-specific features across multiple departments.
- Developed a user-tested FLW concept vision presented to executive stakeholders to align roadmap priorities and support SKU growth as enterprise customers extended Teams adoption to frontline workforces.
- Directed and managed five designers in building a reusable collaborative control component system and industry-specific concept apps for Teams across banking, HR, and operations verticals — influencing Teams’ extensibility and API packaging strategy.
- Built design operations for Microsoft’s growing Ireland hub and broader community design team, including hiring, critique, sprint planning, and mentorship frameworks, directly enabling multiple team members to advance into senior and manager roles.

I led product design across four business units and international teams at one of the world’s largest travel platforms, driving strategic vision, cross-functional alignment, and design operations at scale. Defined Booking.com’s “Connected Trip” company strategy and built design operations infrastructure serving a global design organisation of 250+ designers.
- Defined the “Connected Trip” company vision and architected the modular design framework that enabled it, aligning cross-departmental teams through journey mapping and stakeholder workshops, resulting in funded initiatives and platform-wide adoption across product verticals.
- Standardized global navigation, account access, and identity management experiences across platforms, improving login success rates, reducing support volume, and strengthening GDPR/CCPA compliance.
- Led cross-brand account linking UX between Booking.com and Kayak, enabling personalization and cross-sell opportunities while meaningfully reducing account friction across both platforms.
- Built and scaled design operations frameworks, critique processes, training programmes, and collaboration standards, adopted by 50+ designers and their multi-disciplinary teams across global product teams to raise execution quality and cross-functional alignment, including a cross-cultural design team in Shanghai focused on regional localisation.

As the company’s founding designer, I built Axial’s UX and product design practice from the ground up, growing from IC to Director of UX over five years while designing the core platform, mobile applications, and internal tools that drove measurable gains in engagement, conversion, and revenue. Axial was a fintech SaaS marketplace connecting middle-market companies with investors and strategic buyers.
- Designed Axial’s internal CRM and analytics tooling from scratch, giving sales and support teams real-time visibility into user behaviour and account health, establishing the internal tools that supported Axial’s client servicing at scale.
- Directed the launch of Axial’s iOS app MVP in under two months, increasing lead response rates by 5x and earning media recognition as the “Tinder for M&A” (Bloomberg, 2016).
- >Overhauled product search UX with “omnisearch” and premium-only saved search features, resulting in a 50–75% increase in user activity and generating over $150K in new monthly recurring revenue.
- Researched and prototyped solutions to improve algorithmic transparency in investor-company matching, helping users understand and trust Axial’s match recommendations, directly shaping the platform’s core matching experience.
