Robert Osborne’s 2009 Classic Film Festival: Posters & Banners
For the 5th annual Robert Osborne’s Classic Film Festival, I designed and directed the festival’s entire visual identity and application. The film festival is a four day film festival hosted and curated by Turner Classic Movies’ Robert Osborne and put on in Athens, Georgia by the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Mass Communication. Each year Robert Osborne selected unique and timeless movies from various hollywood eras and showed original prints of them on the silver screen. Along with each movie selection, a guest or guests with intimate knowledge of the movie or the genre would talk on-stage with Robert about specifics of the movie and answer audience questions.
Projects I directly designed for the 2009 festival include all interior and exterior signage and banners, the festival’s official website, official festival t-shirts, the festival’s promotional poster, and a 10 minute on-screen video showcasing movie trivia and the festival’s sponsors. Additionally, I directed the design and development of other festival materials, including advertisements, billboards and the festival program.
